The Visitor Welcome Center and Bookstore parking garage is located at the Reitz Union, at the corner of Museum Road and Reitz Union Drive. The garage is an unrestricted pay facility available to all members of the university community. This garage can accommodate 271 vehicles.

The garage hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Short-term and daily fees apply during this time. The garage may be used during non-operating hours for short-term parking, free of charge. Parking may be reserved in this garage for conferences and special events held at the Reitz Union or in nearby facilities.

Fees
Daily and short-term fees are to be paid at pay stations located at the stair towers and elevators in the garage. All arrangements for reserved parking must be made by calling Transportation and Parking Services at 352.392.8048. 

Standard daily fee: $5.00 - 159 spaces available
Mid-term parking fee (2 hours): $3.00 - 40 spaces available
Short-term parking fee (45 minutes): $1.00 - 72 spaces available
Reserved parking fee for events: $5.00 per space
Reserved parking fee for events starting after 12 pm: $7.00 per space
Reserved parking fee for events held during non-operating hours: $2.50 per space + 50.00 overhead charge

Special Event Use Policy

Reserved parking may be arranged in the Welcome Center parking garage at he Reitz Union for conferences and special events requiring 20 or more spaces. The entire facility may be reserved if needed, although Transportation and Parking Services reserves the right to limit the number of spaces that may be reserved for each event.

For events held during normal operating hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., the charge for reserved parking will be $5 per space per day. If spaces must be reserved for guests arriving after 12:00 noon, an additional reservation fee of $2 per space will be assessed in order to guarantee those spaces.

Spaces will be held up to 30 minutes after the starting time of the event before being released for general use. A permit with the name, date and time of the event is required to enter the reserved spaces. The permit can be created either by the host of the event or by Transportation and Parking Services, which would then need to be picked up by a representative of the event.

For events held during non-operating hours (evenings and weekends) the charge for reserved parking will be $2.50 per space plus a $50 overhead charge.

Due to the limited number of parking spaces in this garage and the high number of events held at the Reitz Union, reservations should be made as far in advance as possible, but no later than one week in advance.
