Gator Lift provides reliable, convenient and free shuttle service to accessible locations within the boundaries of the campus of the University of Florida for students, faculty, and staff with temporary or permanent mobility-related disabilities.
Please be aware that the shuttle service is available ONLY to students, faculty and staff with mobility-related disabilities. Non-disabled students, faculty and staff may not use Gator Lift.
Gator Lift will operate under reduced hours of 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM on Wednesday, November 21 and will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 22-23. We will re-open for normal service hours on Monday, November 26.

Gator Lift service is normally provided Monday – Friday from 7 AM – 11 PM during each semester. During break weeks when no classes are in session, service is provided Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Gator Lift does not operate on weekends and University holidays.

Gator Lift vehicles can accommodate ten passengers and up to two wheelchairs and are equipped with lifts for easy access. All drivers are trained to provide boarding assistance.
To Request Gator Lift Service
Rides are by appointment only and should be submitted using the request form below. Ride requests must be submitted by 3:30 PM on the business day before transportation is needed (for example, a Tuesday ride must be submitted by 3:30 PM on Monday, a Thursday ride must be submitted by 3:30 PM Wednesday, etc.).
If you need to cancel some or all of your previously scheduled rides, please do not use the request form – instead, send us an email with cancellation instructions.
Gator Lift cannot accept same-day ride requests, and ride requests submitted after 3:30 PM cannot be added to the schedule for the next business day.
Gator Lift Rules And Regulations – Help Keep Us On Schedule!
Thank you for riding Gator Lift, UF’s free shuttle service for students, faculty and staff with mobility-related disabilities! Please be sure to read and follow our rules and regulations listed below.
Gator Lift operates with limited resources and serves a very large community of riders. Your courtesy and cooperation will help keep Gator Lift on schedule and allow us to provide the best possible service to all of our valued customers.
** 3:30 PM Scheduling Deadline **
All ride requests and changes must be received no later than 3:30 PM on the prior business day. Rides and/or changes received after 3:30 PM will not be added to the schedule for the following business day. For example, a request for a Tuesday ride received after 3:30 PM Monday will not be accepted. Cancellation notices are the only exception to this rule.
Gator Lift does not have staff available to schedule rides on weekends, so rides for Mondays must be submitted by 3:30 PM on the preceding Friday.
** Your Schedule Will Be Automatically Emailed To You **
Gator Lift will send an automated email containinig your daily schedule to your official UF address at 2 PM the day before service is requested. If you see any errors, please contact Gator Lift at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible before the 3:30 PM scheduling deadline.
Gator Lift will send a second automated email containing your final schedule for the day at 7 AM on the day of service.
** 2-Minute Wait Time **
Gator Lift’s drivers are on an extremely tight schedule and cannot wait longer than two (2) minutes at pick-up points. Please be courteous to our drivers and other riders by being sure to allow yourself enough time to get to the pick-up location before the shuttle arrives. Gator Lift will do our best to return and accommodate riders who miss their scheduled pickup, but we must stay on schedule and cannot make any guarantees of availability for make-up rides.
** No-Show Policy **
We reserve the right to suspend service for the remainder of any given semester for riders who do not show up for multiple scheduled rides and do not provide us with advance notice. Please also be aware that if a rider misses a scheduled ride without contacting Gator Lift in advance, any return trips from that ride on the same day will be cancelled automatically.
If you schedule a ride, please be on time for your pick-up. If your plans change and you no longer need a ride, please make sure that you email us at email@example.com ahead of time to notify us that you will not be riding.
** Ride Spacing At Least 50 Minutes Apart **
Gator Lift’s service is scheduled around UF’s class period start and end times, and as a result we ask that our riders allow at least 50 minutes (or preferably one hour, if possible) between each pick-up and drop-off. This allows us to be able to meet the transportation needs of all of our customers and get them to classes and appointments in a timely manner.
If you need rides that are less than one hour apart, please contact us to have these requests approved ahead of time prior to submitting them. Approval for these rides cannot be guaranteed and will depend on the circumstances of the request and the overall schedule for the requested day.
